Get Yourself A Strategy to Cope with the not so good days …..

There will be days when you feel like you can conquer the world and  there will be days that make you want to run a million miles ! Hide from the world, speak with no one – not even dare to go on social media – for fear of seeing how happy everyone’s lives are .

Well is perception reality ? I do not know as I am unable to verify every comment that I see on social media. What I do know is communication can be used in more than one way. If you want to talk or need support – one post on twitter or facebook will instantly have people offering you advise. Not all of this will be good advise – but at that moment in time it will make the receiver feel good , better about life , able to cope with what tomorrow brings.

Some of the comments will hurt – keyboard warriors can fire and send , with no thought of the impact their words can have on others.  If you are reading this and thinking yep I have been privy to some so called support and had many days when I want to run for the hills or not even leave my bed.  Get yourself a pen and paper now and make a list of 3 things you can do to make yourself FEEL better. When we are happier it’s easier to take on the world.

Walking – being out in the fresh air can do you the world of good – that’s of course if you enjoy walking.

Watching a movie that makes you laugh.  I just googled why  laughing is good for you , after all google knows everything. “Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies, thus improving your resistance to disease. Laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. Endorphins promote an overall sense of well-being and can even temporarily relieve pain”  It’s worth a try.

Listen to music – songs can quickly bring back memories of good times – create your own play list. I have a happy list stored on my amazon playlist that I can tap into quickly when ever I need it .

Jobs – just keeping myself busy can be good – as I find it gives me less time to worry about things.

Diary – keep a diary write it down  – get your emotions and thoughts down on paper , its a great release strategy

Talk – we spend far too much time chatting ( typing online) pick up the phone and have a good old natter with a positive person in your life !

Plan trips – my fiance and I plan trips on a tuesday – not always expensive things to do and its become expected now – lol, if we don’t go out I get messages ” What no treat tuesday today ” It’s nice to know that a few of my own pictures / posts about what we are doing can cheer up others – even if its only momentarily – I am happy to know that I can have a positive impact on peoples lives.

So get planning ….  Mad Mondays ( dance until you cant breathe )  Treat Tuesdays – do something anything different, Walking Wednesdays enjoy the fresh air , Thirsty Thursday – have a brew with a friend , Fun Friday – watch a mood changing movie ….. choose your own themes .

Go on you know you are worth it !! Did I just pinch someone else’s punch line
