Happy New Year – Bring on 2018

Well by the time I post this , New Year will already have happened in many cities across the world !

So lets take time to reflect – whats happened in the past has been and gone . We can not change it , but we can learn from it. Hindsight as they say is a wonderful thing. It allows us to think about what has happened and perhaps how we would of changed any action that we had taken.

But that’s just it – we can’t change the past can we ! We can however , use it to plan our future and share our learnings with others . Pay it forward as they say.

So the future can we influence this – Yes I truly believe we can.  When I practise what I preach I get the results I desire.  Think about the lists you make on a daily basis – we us these to guide us into taking action.  These lists can be personal or work related – by having them their – truly visible. Not only are you getting the fog out of your head  ( all the things that you want to say do or action !!) you create space to think.

A clearer mind is more productive.  Over the past few months I have introduced a 20 min rule. I no longer want to complete tasks that will take me longer than 20 mins. Why this timescale – well I got told once in a training session the brain learns best when it focuses for 20 minutes !

Do you know what this action has been liberating for me. Even if it’s my pile of ironing – my goal is to complete in 20 minutes 🙂 Not only does it make me more effective in my use of time but it brings a bit of fun into everything I do every day.


So why not give it a try !  You will love your increased productivity – which means if you do all your tasks quicker – you will have more time for YOU !
